The aim of this study is to analyse Macau’s tourism, Special Administrative Region (SAR) of mainland China, with its own currency, laws, and regulations, which, despite its small size, holds a significant place in international tourism movements, and to provide a model for tourism destinations with similar characteristics. In this context, the researcher first visited Macau (August, 2025), made necessary observations, and then evaluated the statistics and secondary data. As a result, recommendations are made regarding the future of Macau tourism, which, by 2025, attracted 40.069 million tourists and generated $34.775 billion in tourism revenue, primarily from mainland China and gambling tourism. Macau is a unique destination that blends Portuguese and Chinese cultures. To increase its share of the tourism market, it should diversify its tourism products and focus on different types of tourism to attract more visitors from nearby countries such as India (which prioritises vegetarian diets), predominantly Muslim Indonesia, Malaysia, and other destinations.
